--- title: 'CADLY Desktop' slug: 'desktop' category: 'General' order: 3 description: 'Sign in to CADLY Desktop safely through your browser.' --- # 1 - Introduction CADLY Desktop uses your existing CADLY account. Start sign-in inside CADLY Desktop; the app opens a secure CADLY page in your browser. If you are not already signed in on the website, complete the normal Discord sign-in and any required two-factor check. CADLY then returns you to the Desktop connection page. Only use a connection page that you opened from CADLY Desktop yourself. Never approve a request or enter a code that somebody else sends you. # 2 - Connect the App The browser page shows the CADLY account that will be connected. Check that it is the account you intended to use, then choose one of these methods: - Select **Open CADLY Desktop**. If the browser asks for permission to open the app, choose **Open**. - If the app does not open, select **Enter the code instead** and type or paste the eight-character code shown in CADLY Desktop. A sign-in request lasts five minutes. After a successful connection, CADLY Desktop finishes signing in and the browser tab can be closed. # 3 - Troubleshooting ## 3.1 - The Request Expired Return to CADLY Desktop and start sign-in again to receive a new link and code. ## 3.2 - The App Did Not Open Use **Enter the code instead** on the browser page. Keep CADLY Desktop open so you can read its current eight-character code. ## 3.3 - The Code Does Not Match Check the code currently shown in CADLY Desktop and try again. Codes from an older or different request will not connect the app. ## 3.4 - Sign-In Is Temporarily Unavailable Keep CADLY Desktop open, wait a few minutes, and start a fresh sign-in. If the problem continues, contact CADLY Support. # 4 - Getting Support and Resources - [CADLY Documentation](/docs): Guides for CADLY features and settings. - [CADLY Support Server](https://discord.gg/cadly): Ask the support team for help. - [CADLY Email Support](mailto:admin@cadly.me): Contact the team by email.
